ARTIST STATEMENT

My work is influenced by organic and geometric forms discovered through observation and chance. My ceramic work consists of non-utilitarian vessels inspired by traditional African ceramics, with a focus on surface achieved through terra sigillata, slips, oxides, and varied firing methods. My paintings and drawings often explore abstract and realistic imagery, while my lithographs are inspired by still-life forms, landscapes, and portraits of family and friends. Across my work, I embrace both control and unpredictability as part of the creative process.
